Isamu Pahoa took some wrong turns in life and wound up left for dead at an ancient Hawaiian temple. As his blood soaked into the stones, a mysterious force rose up and bestowed upon him, the Warrior's Gift. The curse, as Isamu sometimes refers to it, has turned his life upside down. Not only does he have to deal with the fact that the myths and legends of the islands are very much alive and dangerous, but his ex-colleagues are trying to kill him.
