No Steel

The A.I. won the war when it figured out how to hack bionic enhancements. In a last ditch effort the ‘No Steel' project launched, with the hope of creating humans, strong enough to face a mech. The project was never completed. Fearing the A.I. could learn the basics of genetics, all volunteers were launched into space. Many years later, 'Fall's stasis casket lands on a distant world.
