Heart of Mana

Emelia, a young witch, teams up with Ray, an orphaned farm boy, in order to learn how to protect others as part of the Magic Association. The journey ahead of them is long and dangerous, and in order to succeed they will need to accept each other, accept themselves, and accept a world that doesn't always accept them in return.
