On a hectic night in upstate New York, vampires Milán and Naomi catch wind of an unbearably alluring aroma and drop everything to pursue it. The scent leads to Reese Lush, a man born with a rare blood type that attracts all manner of supernatural creatures. Vampires have a name for humans with this one-in-a-billion blood: Nectarines. Tired of a life of hiding from monsters, Reese makes the vampires a simple offer: protect him, and he will let them drink his blood. Who could say no to that?
