In a shimmering and eclectic metropolis, a boy awakens from a nightmare while his home prepares for the arrival of important strangers. Meanwhile, in a pastoral village, two twins wake at dawn on the day of religious ascension. The community is brimming with excitement, but the sisters suspect things may not be what they seem. Children of the Earth and Sky is a short story about an enigmatic ritual from the perspective of children living in two mirror societies. A traditional nomadic one set firmly on the ground and a hidden industrialised city floating 5,000 meters above them in the sky.
