Soon after, Naoto was sentenced to death to pay for his mother's atrocities. and her lineage with the Crimson Eyes: terrifying creatures commonly known as vampires. During Naoto’s judgment, his grandfather, Masato Himura, stepped in to save him, sacrificing his place in the clan and exiling both him and Naoto. Years after it happened, Naoto still carries the scars from that day, always trying to stay away from his grandfather and his stepsister, scared that he could harm them as well, since he has the same fearsome eyes. He decided to become a “Thorn,” a specialized hunter who hunts down monsters and those who threaten the peace. Naoto lives in a world that hates the Crismon Eyes.
