Hey you! You like Junji Ito? READ THIS. Well, the first season at least. The first season is insanely peak, but the art quality is really sporadic in the following season, which really weakens the scares.

Relatable gag-a-day webtoon is relatable gag-a-day webtoon. Not much else to it, it’s serviceable enough. Occasionally funny and even informative every few episodes.
VibeCheckNexus Point
Pretty cool cyberpunk series. It explores cool concepts, does a lot with what hacking is capable of, and the cast is fun. The art looks nice, though the reused panels can feel lazy at times. Also how tf did they get JOHNNY YONG BOSH to make music for this webcomic wtf???
VibeCheckNeon Revenge
It has some good tension and some satisfying moments, but this is some of the worst worldbuilding I’ve seen in any webcomic. I had to suspend my disbelief way too often. An huge organization of bullies that somehow has staggering influence sounds stupid as hell. I could not take the idea of it seriously in any scenario. All the bullies act the same. They’re just big tough boys who boss people around, look way older than they actually are, and don’t know any other insults besides calling people assholes. It’s nowhere near varied enough to make their takedowns as satisfying as they could be, it’s super repetitive. The concept of someone who streams takedowns of bullies just felt totally wasted here, and I’m kinda bummed the series got canceled
VibeCheckNecroknights: Guardians of the Dead
I’m digging the setup for this one, lotsa interesting characters. The story is just starting to take off so I’m interested to see where it goes from here.

This one cracks me up with pretty much every update. This one reminds me a bit of My Sweet Archenemy, but it’s far more entertaining and creative. The writing is on point, it’s full of unique and funny character designs, and the art style is stellar. Absolutely recommend this one.

This one’s actually by the author of A Hero For This Dragon. I actually enjoy this one a lot more! Def check out if you fw stuff like Robotboy or My Life as a Teenage Robot. If you crave a new series that has that vibe but is more slice of life oriented, look no further than this one. I’m sure I’ll enjoy it even more as the series progresses.

This is actually a graphic novel. What's posted to Tapas isn't even the full volume. That being said this is my favorite graphic novel I've ever read and I implore everyone to seek out the full series.
VibeCheckMy Magic Grandpa
This feels like an amazing combination between Gravity Falls and Doctor Who. If that doesn’t sell you on it, I dunno what will. It’s full of heart, the characters are really fun, the Oregon setting is memorable, the supernatural elements are varied, and it tackles some surprisingly mature subject matter.

Not much content right now but it already has too much aura. Great premise, awesome characters with just as cool designs, and style and attitude dripping from every angle. Reeeally looking forward for more.

I think the art style is really pleasant. The colors pop and the characters and settings are well-designed. Despite Jackie and Riley being front and center, I'm surprised Jayden wound up as my favorite character for just being a chill straight ally to his roomie's gay endeavors. I do wish they kept the bit of him just being shirtless for way longer tho. I don't have much issue with the dialog aside from a couple cringe-inducing lines. There were some cute and funny bits, but Moving In did lose me over time. While Jayden beating up Riley's ex really gave him respect points, it would've been more narratively satisfying if Jackie and Riley dealt with him themselves without him stepping in. The introduction of Nina is when my investment started to tank since she was just a really toxic friend and brought out worse qualities in Riley. While both were called out by the finale, the ending was soured by a really inappropriately timed kiss. While I have my issues, the series was decent as a whole and could've been a lot worse.

This one just has this really specific vibe that I really like. Maybe it's the snow-covered setting, to the low-scale but brutal and stylized combat, and the narrative of a mother trying to shield her children from her bloodstained past, it's just really cool.

At first I wasn't that into it, but the cast did grow on me over time. Tackled some issues I haven't seen covered in other webcomics like drug dealing (at least something more realistic compared to Power Pills). Still, I found myself pretty neutral on the comic coming out of it

It’s really enthralling conceptually. Not only is it a test subject breakout story, but it also seriously reminds me of one of my favorite Love Death + Robots episodes translated to a full fledged series (the werewolf one). Couple that with some really cool alien lore and the setup for a grand adventure, this is shaping up to become one of my favorites once updates resume

It has some good jokes here and there, but it's hard to get much enjoyment out of it when the comic is illegible a lot of the time. The art style is cute, but I'm frequently left confused as to what's going on

This one's great! Reminds me a lot of Wakfu, with a bit of Dragon Quest and Just a Goblin to boot. Really lovable cast with some unique designs
