Heroic Shenanigans

Welcome to Camp Kapow, the summer camp for young people with superpowers. Henry is so excited to use his superspeed and invisibility to be a hero; Karen wishes she didn't have her dangerous fire powers; and Emily doesn't know what to make of her super senses. This unlikely trio isn't sure they'll be able to survive their training, much less a fight against real supervillains!

VibeCheckAug 17, 2026I'm generally not into superhero series, but this was really good. Having it take place in a summer camp for superpowered youths is a neat spin on the superhero school formula I've seen often. The story isn't revolutionary, but I had fun with the cast and their arcs, plus the twists throughout the series. The fact that it's hard to choose a favorite character between Zephyr, Desmond, Emily, and Karen says a lot about how enjoyable the characters are. The humor can be well-executed too from time to time. I also like how many of the villains are familially related to each other and different characters in some way. I will say that it didn't quite stick the landing at the finale. The Enigma plotline was introduced too late that it felt abrupt and I wasn't a fan of the liar revealed stuff. Still, it's an enjoyable and refreshing series in the superhero genre I'd rec to general audiences
