VibeCheckAug 07, 2026Wow, this absolutely rocks! This was one of my most anticipated on my readlist, and I'm so glad I finally got to check it out. Where do I even begin? There's just so much to praise! I guess I'll start with the art because jUST LOOK AT IT. The detailed and swooping backgrounds, the fluid actions, the diverse and distinct character designs, it's all amazing and only improves over time! The world feels like its own and I love all the little details that go into it. I appreciate how it doesn't hold my hand while I read it, using context to convey what's going on and doesn't need to overexplain every tidbit. Even though the cast is massive, it doesn't feel bloated. There are so many lovable characters with as much intrigue and depth as the others. Namah and Vi are definitely the standouts here to me. It's also home to some truly despicable villains that really got me to love hating them. The comedy lands, the fight scenes are gnarly, and there are some genuinely tense and disturbing moments. With the gorgeous visuals and dark tone, this does feel very Bluthy and I appreciate that.
