VibeCheckAug 07, 2026I also read the Prequel comic alongside the main comic, and that's just as fun. It's great seeing what the cast's lives were like before shit hit the fan. It's a lovely slice of life series that got me to love the characters even more, but it does lead to some critiques. I wasn't sure whether to read the prequel or the main series first, and there are benefits to choosing either one, but I had to get the full experience reading both. Prequel definitely serves as a better introduction to characters like the Tower Guards and Kalei who become more plot relevant later down the line, but because the prequel is an ongoing series there's more incentive to read the man comic first. It's also more rewarding to read the main comic first to learn about certain revelations, so ig it's up to you to decide what you wanna start with.
