Sins of the Fangs

In a land where humans have gone nearly extinct, and the power of the arcane has taken grasp. A sentient group of strange creatures now rule the land with bias, prejudice, and civil wars rampant across Aeona. A Shark named Birgus has been stranded on land all his life. Though he and his kind have been deemed dangerous warmongers Birgus is determined to solve his problems with peace. His adventure begins when he stumbles across a malevolent Fioria, who wants revenge on his kind.

VibeCheckAug 13, 2026As much as I like the cool post-war setting, all the different animal societies, the interesting characters, and the disgustingly brutal violence, I often find myself lost when it comes to the story. It has a lot of subplots that left me confused or felt inconsequential. A lot of the concepts and story beats aren’t really explained well, and it doesn’t help that there are recurring grammar problems. Like, it’s hard for me to really tell what’s the difference between paras, hives, and stingers because all are used so interchangeably. Wtf even is a cleaner?? I wasn’t too big on the ending, as well as the big twist. It really derailed the main character and wasn’t built up to that well. The story also progresses slowly, but I appreciate the Sins of the Fangs Shorts sections for really speeding up the readthrough during the third season. Some lines also just don’t fit well with the setting.
