VibeCheckAug 13, 2026Really funny, great art, and a super entertaining cast, love the mafia comedy vibes of it As much as I enjoyed a lot of it, there's just one teeeeensy little thing that's seriously holding it back for me… The way the comic handles its Asian characters seriously rubbed me the wrong way. Like, in the page where the rival Chinese gang is introduced, the author has one of the main characters call them an explicit racist slur. I’m aware the protags aren’t supposed to be good people, and I might’ve given it more leeway if this was during a not-so-modern age. I know the author is Malaysian and I know I'm not the best person to be the judge of this sort of stuff, but that episode pretty much impacted my enjoyment of the rest of the comic and it wasn't the last of touchy moments like that
