An antihero-centric superhero comic made by the creator of Deadpool, a main character with an outstanding concept that has a lotta potential, and really solid art. In this day and age, Outrage’s premise really speaks volumes. Having a vigilante that hops out of corrupt peoples’ phones to literally beat some sense into them is something I imagine many people wish existed at this point. So what went wrong? The best part about Outrage is Outrage himself, yet he’s only in the comic half of the time. The rest focuses on the human cast trying to figure out who his identity is and dealing with the overarching villain company. I found most of them really unlikable and often thought the human sections were really boring. I wanted to see Outrage clown on more terminally online scumbags, but the series really took a political direction that grew incredibly stale. It was around that time where media was oversaturated with Trump-era jokes, and boy did they overstay their welcome. Overall an incredibly disappointing series that wasted its potential.
