Oh shit, this went way harder than I remotely expected. This shit was intense. Each fight offers a unique perspective on the boxing industry and are all memorable in their own ways. It also really got me to sympathize with Yu’s opponents. I love the three main perspectives shown throughout the series, especially Yu’s. I didn’t expect to become so attached to such a husk of a human being, but fuck, his story really got to me. I’m heckin worried the upcoming anime isn’t gonna give each fight the attention they deserve. Here’s hoping it doesn’t become another God of High School.
