Watched the drama before reading the webtoon, so it was nice to see the source material. Definitely a great storyline and I liked the moral dilemmas presented in some of the cases that were handled.

As someone on the spectrum, I’m often very critical of media representation of autism. I was meaning to check out the show this webtoon was based off of, but after learning that this webtoon existed I had to read it. Now I definitely wanna watch the original show, as this is certainly no Good Doctor. I do think the series does do a decent enough job at humanizing autistic people, showing multiple degrees of severity across the spectrum. I don’t think it’s flawless, as I would have appreciated more higher functioning characters. At least the central focus, Woo, is a pretty engaging protagonist; her triumphs and fails always grab my attention. I also think her blossoming relationship is handled pretty well, as her partner is a very respectful guy, yet both of them have great development over the course of their bond. The court cases Woo engages in are typically pretty fun, makes me wonder how they’re handled in the show. Same goes for Woo’s whale-centric imagination scenes.
