There exist portals to another world. These “Gates” have become as commonplace as air and so too have the hunters that make a living slaying the creatures that reside within them. Among these hunters, Sung Jinwoo is an E-rank, the absolute weakest of the weak. But that won’t stop him from trying to grow stronger to provide for his loved ones.

VibeCheckAug 12, 2026From what I’ve seen so far, it’s fine. It is the biggest series out of the whole RPG-element leveling-up type series. It certainly isn’t my fave, but it’s not bad either. It’s easy to get invested in Sung’s journey to become stronger and the fantasy-invading-setting is cool, but it just wasn’t really enough to warrant me continuing.
kevinJun 28, 2026I enjoyed the power system which made it feel like game. The story was great until the jeju island arc and then it sort of loss its charm for me. I still really liked the rest of the story. I have yet to try ragnarok, but looking forward to doing so!
